THE REASON FOR MY SMILE

He's been my favorite artist since 1965.
I loved him then, but never could see him close and live.

Then one day after many years, on an oldies station I found:
"Herman's Hermits" will be coming soon near my home town!

I really got excited!  I'll finally get to meet
My favorite singer of all time!  This was going to be so neat!

The day had finally come I'd waited for so long.
But wait... where is Peter???  Did I hear it wrong?

They told me "Herman's Hermits" but there's NO "Herman" here!
Boy, I am so angry!  It almost brought a tear!

And then I heard his voice again on my Oldies radio!
Another advertisement about a Teen Idol show!

"I have to get more info!"  I called the station, too.
I must have dialed twenty times, but never could get through.

A few weeks later it hit me!  "I think I'll search the net!
Why hadn't I thought of this before?  I'll find him now, I bet!"

Now I've found him and I'm glad...  He's brightened up my days!
The smile I have... HE gave me with his fun and charming ways!
